Curly coat

The best pet salon in Prague for our dog - zwergschnauzer. First of all because of the best groomer Tatiana there. She has her own four schnauzers therefore she knows this race perfectly. Tatiana can groom and cut these dogs in proper way. And our pet is calm and safe with her! The servis in general is friendly, prices are good.

Poměrně dost jsem se obávala návštěvy, jelikož naší čivavě je už 13 let a je skoro slepá. Nicméně jsem velmi spokojená s výsledkem a citlivým přístupem kadeřnice, která se k pejskovi chovala moc hezky a je na něm i po návštěvě vidět, jak je v pohodě a nebylo to pro něj traumatizující. 🥰 výsledek nad moje očekávání, krásný a pečlivý sestřih a vyčesání. Náš Bruno je nadýchaný jako obláček.😁

It depends mainly on the coat type, its length and condition, and how you care for it at home. Curly coats, wiry coats and dense double coats each need a different routine. After your visit, we'll gladly recommend an interval that makes sense for your dog.
Most often about 1–2 hours. The time depends on the dog's size, the type and condition of the coat and the care you choose; a large dog or a heavily matted or dense coat can take longer.
We adapt the scope to the coat type and the individual dog's needs. Care can include bathing, drying, brushing, a haircut or trimming, nail care and ear care. Cleaning the anal glands is not an automatic part of complete care, but we can do it at the client's request at no extra charge.
First we assess the condition of the coat and choose the gentlest solution for the dog. We try to brush out lighter tangles safely, but a heavily matted coat can't always be saved without needless pulling and stress. In that case we'll talk through a more suitable approach with you.
Express de-shedding is an intensive brush-out of loose and dead undercoat. It suits mainly dogs with a dense or double coat, and the period of heavy shedding. It significantly reduces the amount of loose hair, but of course it won't stop shedding altogether.
Trimming is the manual removal of dead coat on wire-coated breeds. It's used, for example, on some terriers and schnauzers, and helps keep the coat's proper structure and look. If you're not sure whether your dog needs a haircut or trimming, we'll advise you based on the coat type.
No. We don't shave a double coat with clippers. We loosen and brush out the dead undercoat by hand, and adapt the care to the coat type and its current condition.
Yes. We look after small and large dogs alike, and always adapt the approach to their size, coat type and temperament.
Yes. For a puppy, the first visit is mostly about a calm introduction to the place, handling and the individual steps of care. We adapt the scope of the first visit to the puppy's age, coat and what it can handle.
Yes. You can send us a reference photo before the visit or show it when you hand over your dog. We'll also tell you what is realistically possible given the coat type and its current condition.
Yes. Nail care can be part of grooming and, if needed, can also be arranged on its own.
Yes. We offer gentle manual dental hygiene without anaesthesia, which can be booked on its own or combined with grooming. You'll find the details of how it works and its limits on the Dental hygiene page.
