DOG TEETH CLEANING · VINOHRADY, PRAGUE 2: Teeth cleaning
without anaesthesia
Gentle manual tartar removal for dogs, in the calm of our salon and at a pace your dog is comfortable with.

WHY TEETH MATTER: Teeth need care just like the coat
Plaque builds up gradually and hardens into tartar over time, and tartar won't go away on its own.
Tartar builds up gradually
The longer it stays on the teeth, the harder it is to remove. Regular hygiene keeps teeth clean.
Breath and gums
Bad breath or red gums are a reason to have the teeth checked. If needed, we'll recommend a vet.
A habit from early on
A dog used to having its mouth checked handles care more calmly. You can start at any time.
HOW IT WORKS: Calm and step by step
1. Mouth check
We start by looking at the teeth and agree how much work is needed.
2. Settling in
Your dog gets used to the touch and the space. We never use force.
3. Manual cleaning
We remove plaque and tartar by hand, without anaesthesia, as far as your dog is comfortable.
4. Recommendation
We tell you what condition the teeth are in and how often to come back.

How does dental hygiene without anaesthesia work?
It's a gentle hygiene of the visible parts of the teeth for a dog that handles having its mouth touched well. Our specialist works with an ultrasonic and a manual scaler and always adapts the procedure to the individual dog. We don't use anaesthesia and we never force anything.
Is teeth cleaning without anaesthesia the same as veterinary dental treatment?
No. Our dental hygiene is maintenance care for the visible parts of the teeth and does not replace veterinary dental treatment. If a dog has heavy tartar, inflamed gums or other problems, examination and treatment belong in the hands of a veterinarian.
Will this dental hygiene replace a visit to the vet?
No. It serves as maintenance hygiene and is not a substitute for a veterinary examination or treatment. If we see something during care that a vet should assess, we'll recommend dealing with it with them.
Which dogs is dental hygiene without anaesthesia suitable for?
Mainly dogs that are calm, cooperate and handle manipulation around the mouth well. It isn't only about size: it is always the dog's behaviour, the condition of the teeth and whether the hygiene can be done safely and without needless stress that decides.
What if my dog won't open its mouth or is nervous?
We don't force anything. We do the hygiene only when the dog is calm, cooperates and handles manipulation around the mouth well. If it isn't possible to continue safely, we won't finish the procedure at any cost.
When is it better to take care of the teeth directly with a vet?
If a dog has heavy tartar deposits, markedly red or inflamed gums, pain, bleeding or other complications, we recommend a veterinary examination. Our service is maintenance hygiene, not treatment of oral disease.
Can I book dental hygiene on its own?
Yes. You can combine dental hygiene with complete grooming or book it as a stand-alone service.
Will I see the result before and after cleaning?
Yes. After the treatment we'll send you before and after photos so you can see the result of the care for yourself.
How often should dental hygiene be repeated?
The interval is individual. In some dogs plaque and tartar build up faster than in others, so after the visit we'll recommend further care based on the current condition of the teeth.
